We chose to ship a lot of cocoa beans from Mexico with a big sailboat across the Atlantic Ocean!

TOWT, with the ANEMOS label, shows an undeniable added value for the environment! We benefit both from high quality organic cocoas and a very innovative transport by sail label. It is one of the few which talks about the environment we want for our children!

Last year we had already chosen the sail transportation to import a first lot of organic and fair trade cocoa beans from Dominican Republic to the port of Les Sables d’Olonne. This year, we rely on significantly higher quantities for a higher involvement toward the ecological transition on the seas.

The community Timbercoast, owner of the sailboat Avontuur acts on the world industry of maritime transport and for an awareness to promote sustainable development. The sailboat opens a new way by challenging the current practices and offering innovative solutions while creating jobs.

Avontuur is the symbol of an indicative move and greenhouse gas emissions reduction due to geographical remoteness between production areas and consumption areas. The project is proof of a growing number of consumers looking for transparency at all levels of the value chain, therefore including an environmentally-friendly and sustainable means of transport.
