Cocoa beans transported by sail

To encourage an eco-friendly approach, we partnered with Biocoop to support and test the adventure of sailing transportation with TOWT.
The sailboat «Leenan Head», started from Dominican Republic for its first transatlantic trip with almost 3 tons of cocoa beans aboard heading to our chocolaterie Saveurs et Nature.
The boat arrived in Les Sables d'Olonne seaport on June 19th, 2017 to get unloaded. A transportation that avoided the emission of about 6.5 Tons of CO2 in the atmosphere.
